Quevedo Endodontics & Implantology welcomes Dr. David DiPalma to our team
Dr. David DiPalma is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY. After completing his dental training with a minor in prosthodontics, he went on to complete a three-year prosthodontics residency at Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, NY. During his residency he completed a Master of Science degree in Dental Sciences: Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Rochester, Thesis Title: Biologic Complications of Short Implant-Assisted Removable Partial Dentures. Following his residency, Dr. DiPalma furthered his training by completing a one year surgical and restorative Implant Fellowship at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine within the Department of Restorative Dentistry where he gained additional experience in full mouth rehabilitation with implant therapy, immediate loading, bone, and soft tissue grafting, and managing implant complications. During his residency and fellowship, Dr. DiPalma has developed a love for teaching and obtained a faculty position in the postgraduate Prosthodontics clinic and UB Implant center where he has instructed residents in both advanced prosthetics and implant surgery.
Dr. DiPalma has a diverse educational and experiential background. Before pursuing dentistry as a career, he received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2005, his Master of Science in Packaging Science (RIT, 2007), and Bachelor of Science in Biology (SUNY at Fredonia, 2013). During his education, he has had the opportunity to apply what he has learned in several scientific research projects. In the subject of biochemistry and molecular biology, he explored the secondary structure of RNA as it relates to gene expression in embryonic development. In bone physiology, he studied the response of osteoblasts to growth factors contained in platelet concentrates both in vitro and in vivo when combined with an alloplast graft material. He continues his dental education as a member of the UB Implant Study Club where he has been a member since 2012 which he attends monthly along with his father, Dr. Russell DiPalma, who practices general dentistry in Fredonia, NY and Dr. Quevedo. Outside of work, Dr. DiPalma loves spending time with his family and has three nieces and a nephew. He is an avid outdoorsman and is a New York Lifetime Sportsman's License holder, is a Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, loves Seinfeld, the Office, Star Trek the Next Generation, reading, trying new recipes to cook.
