All of us at Quevedo Endodontics hope that you, your family and your staff are all well. In light of everything that is happening with COVID-19 and its impact on our profession, we want to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the recommendations put forth by the CDC and the ADA.
As an Endodontic practice, we are following the ADA guidelines of continuing to treat patients on an emergency basis and for urgent dental care. We have altered our schedule to minimize patient to patient contact in the waiting room. We are staying open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. We will be available to provide the same high level of quality care for your patients.
* Please note, we are seeing a high volume of cracked teeth at this time due to higher levels of stress /grinding/clenching. Many of these cases are rapidly transitioning from cracked tooth syndrome to tooth fracture with subsequent acute pain and infection. Some of these cases have been quite severe. As you are aware, early intervention is key to prevent acute infections in the tooth, surrounding bone, soft tissue and facial spaces. I advise having these types of cases addressed early, when symptoms first present themselves.
Update on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and dental treatment. Any patients who have recently traveled to level 3 countries as designated by the CDC, please read all information regarding their recommendations.
As is the case with all infectious diseases (rhinovirus and H1N1 for example) we recommend delaying all dental procedures that are not true emergencies until all symptoms of the illness have passed. In the case of this coronavirus, there is an incubation period of 14 days during which time those infected may not have symptoms but can still spread the virus. If you are at risk or have been in contact with someone that is at risk or is ill, please consider a self-imposed 14 day quarantine. In the case of an at risk patient with a true dental emergency, please call ahead at 585-248-2200.
